
For commercial kitchens ESP machine applications, the standard air velocity calculation is usually based on 4–6 m/s.
An air velocity of 5–6 m/s is acceptable for satisfactory performance.
However, different kitchen activities may vary the cell cleaning and servicing intervals (once a month or once in 2 months).
To achieve a lower air velocity of 2.5 m/s–3 m/s for higher exhaust air cleaning efficiency.
Machine quantity needs to increase for bigger duct sizes installation in order to achieve the required low air velocity for higher effectiveness.
