Electrostatic Precipitation (ESP) Technology
Airwave’s Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) system are designed to capture airborne contaminants such as smoke, grease, oil mist and fine particles, helping to provide cleaner air for commercial and industrial applications.
How Does Electrostatic Precipitation Work
01 — Pre-Filtration
A fan blower draws in contaminated air and passes it through a washable pre-filter which traps larger particles of smoke, grease, oil mist and fine particles.
02 — Ionization
The air then passes through an ionizing section, where particles as small as 0.01 microns receive an Electrostatic Precipitation charge.
03 — Particle Collection
The charged particles are passed through a series of collector plates which make use of the Electrostatic Precipitation Principle to isolate and trap particle contaminants.
04 — Electrostatic Attraction
Each plate is charged with an alternate polarity. Plates with the same polarity as the charged particles will repel the particles, while the plates with the opposite polarity attract and collect the particles.
05 — Contaminant Retention
The Electronic Cell traps both wet and dry particles which are held in the plates until cleaned out.
06 — UV Ozone Lamp
The UV Ozone Lamp build inside the ESP machine can further neutral and breakdown the smell of cooking odour.
07 — Carbon Filter (Optional)
The Carbon Filter help to remove bad odour and poisonous gases.
